5 Simple Things That Customers Love and Run Back For

Aug 23, 2016

Customer Service is not just a phrase, you must give “customer service” to stay in business.

  1. Grateful
Always act grateful when a potential customer makes contact with you via phone, email, walk in, or social media. This is when it is decided if they want to do business with you, now or in the future.
  2. Help
If you are unable to give the service that someone is looking for then try to refer them to somewhere else. This is not in any way taking away from your business. They may come back to you at a later date because you were helpful.

Every business owner is not suited to be the face of their company. Just because you created the business does not mean you have great people skills. Choose someone that loves people and it comes thru when they interact with clients.  The first person a potential client speaks to is the impression they make about your business. Your product could be A one, however if the person at the front desk or over the phone is rude you can very easily loose a customer.

  1. Appreciation
If you collect emails and phone numbers check in on your clients, no sales pitches just a quick note to say we appreciate your business.
  2. Free
Put out little goodies from time to time, nothing over the top, coffee, tea, juice, water, and bananas are all inexpensive and most people enjoy them. Your clients will be happy you did.
  3. Real Discounts
If you are going to give a discount then give a discount. 10% off just does not cut it anymore when your average customer is spending under $50.00 dollars. Choose a slow day and give away 20% off to customers.

CEO Derrick Billingslea of Business Solutions Source says, “Always anticipate what the customer needs and over deliver”.

Never leave a customer dissatisfied. There is always something you can do to make your customer happy.  You may have to bite the bullet sometimes but it will be well worth it in the long run.
Example: You misquote a price to a client. Apologize and let them know you made an error when you quoted the first price(this is the reason most successfully business owners have a price sheet).

5 Tips To Keep Your Car Clean and Organized

Dec 10, 2014 0

By Dorsey Mobile Detailing

1. Throw Trash Away:   Keep a trash bag in your car or recycle a plastic cereal box or soap  dish container to make a trash can just for the car.

2. Whatever goes into the car goes out. We seem to have an overabundance of plastic cups, sweaters, and books. Make sure your kids get their stuff out of the car when they get out.

3. Organize what needs to stay in the car. I have a large utility tote from 31 Gifts that I keep in the back of my car. I keep my jumper cables, emergency kit, and first aid kit in there. It keeps the back of my Jeep clutter free and organized.

4. .Use a bit of baking soda to deodorize your carpets. Sprinkle a bit of baking soda on your carpets and seats to eliminate odors. I try to vacuum at least once a month. Before I vacuum, I use a spoon and a box of baking soda to keep my car from smelling like a garbage bin.

5. Keep a box of baby wipes in your car for cleaning. You can wipe down your interior and widows with baby wipes. This is an easy task you can do in very little time, maybe while you’re waiting in the school pick-up line? They also come in handy for spills.

Voting Tips

Oct 27, 2014 0

United States General Elections November 4, 2014

Ensure that you are registered to vote. Call your city’s clerk or verify by calling 1-866-OUR-VOTE. If you are not registered, you can’t vote.
Be sure you know where you’re polling location is (It will say on your voting card). Remember that it may have changed since the last time you voted. If you can vote at more than one location, ask around to find out which one will be the least crowded.
Vote early if you can. Allow yourself plenty of time because the traffic might be bad and the lines may very well be long. Be sure you know what time your polls open so you can schedule it.
Remember to bring your ID information. Be sure you have a valid ID, passport and/or drivers license when you vote. Check with state requirements to find out what types of ID are required for you to vote in your state. If you’re not sure, bring EVERYTHING, including a photo ID.
It is not advisable to wear campaign shirts, pins and such when you go in to vote. Some states don’t allow this. Play it safe and dress neutral.
Wear comfortable shoes and dress ready to wait. If it’s cold outside, be sure you bring a coat. Maybe you can also bring something to read.
Avoid long lines by voting in the mid-morning or early afternoon. These are proven to be the lightest times of the voting day.
Ignore false rumors. Despite what you’ve heard, you can not be denied the right to vote because of a foreclosed home, being behind on child support payments, being a college student away from home or other frivolous reasons. But be careful. Read This
Help others to vote. Assist the elderly, the disabled and those without transportation.
Know your state laws with regard to your voting rights. Google your home state for applicable voting requirements. They vary by state. Time Off Laws
Be nice to the people voting for the opposing candidate. We are all brothers. Despite the animosity you see on TV (by many that know better), this is not the way to act. We must be respectful of those voting for another candidate.
If your ballot has little circles to fill in, be sure you fill them in solid with a dark pen.
Even if it gets late and the polls will close soon, if you are standing in line, you will get to vote. So make sure you at least have time to make it to that voter line. If they have problems finding your name, insist that they check again. If that still fails, insist on being allowed to cast a provisional ballot.
Report any voting problems or suspicions to Election Protection. Their number is 1-866-OUR-VOTE or visit 866ourvote.org.
Reference your ACLU website. There is a lot of information on voting rights specified by individual states. Here are the Voting Rights for Virginia for example.
